Our Heavy Duty cylinder disassembly/assembly table and tooling designed for cylinders up to 24 to 30 inches in diameter. The table is designed with the top rail modified from 3/4" to 1-1/4" steel and is 26.5 ft. Long. A cylinder assist for disassembly and re assembly, a 24" heavy duty triple chain vise, a pressure boost system and 70K Nut Buster have been developed in conjunction with the heavy duty disassembly table.

Cylinder repair begins on the cylinder disassembly table. Selecting the proper cylinder repair equipment is critical to the success and ease of operation.
The full length large volume collector pan helps keep your shop clean and promotes safety by eliminating oil spillage while disassembling components.
A 40-gallon drain pan, supported on a section of roller conveyor, rolls out for easy disposal of waste oil. This tank is also used to capture oil from an overhung cylinder head during disassembly. The pan is rolled back after use thus eliminating a safety hazard and maintaining a clean and dry working area.
Each Disassembly table comes with two (2) slide plates. They consist of 32” x 12” x ¾” pre drilled plates. The predrilled holes will accept standard 8” chain vises, tie-bolt cylinder hold down clamps and brace tooling. There is also a 1” hole on either side of the plates located in the center for mounting a cylinder for the pull-apart assembly. Each slide plate comes with two (2) “L” clamps to lock it to the main table. The slide plates can be easily and quickly moved to the desirable position then locked down by tightening the clamps. There are also predrilled holes that allow you to pin the plates for positive locking at 10” increments along the full length of the fixture.
Cylinders that have dented tubes or bent shafts can be pulled apart with the configuration shown. Brace tool “A” after being secured to a slide plate is pinned to make it stationary. Hydraulic cylinder “C” is positioned between the stationary plate “B” and a second brace tool “D” mounted on a sliding plate. When the cylinder is extended a lineal force is generated to separate parts.
The standard MS&D Disassembly Table has the option of a built-in power unit. The power unit consists of a 40‑gallon reservoir, 15hp. 3 phase motor and starter, a 2 stage gear pump that will develop 15 gpm and 3500psi. This power unit can be used to power the “Nut Buster” and pressure test cylinders being repaired. Single phase motors and smaller motor/pump combinations are options. A 100-gallon reservoir is available.
An air purge system is incorporated into the unit to purge oil from cylinders after testing.
The control panel has a main pressure gauge with indicator needle (this registers the pressure the nut broke loose and will quantify the torque at which it will be tightened) for operation of the Nut Buster®. The cylinder test portion of the panel contains a two-spool control valve, two work port pressure gauges, adjustable relief valve and isolation valves to check leakage across pistons.
Our “Nut Buster” hydraulic wrench can develop high torque at standard hydraulic pressures. Standard sizes of our “Nut Buster” develop 20, 30, 40 and 50,000 ft./lbs of torque. A simple and rugged system incorporates two (2) opposing cylinders working with a ratcheting mechanism. As the cylinders extend they rotate the “tool holder” 60 deg. The cylinders retract and the cycle is repeated until the nut or head is completely removed.
The MS&D Torque fixture accepts a simple 8” x 8” square plate as tooling. The plate is placed in the 8” x 8” cavity on either end of the fixture. A 45˚ turn of the tool captures the tool in place. A hex hole up to 6” is made for the larger nuts. Various other whole shapes can be made to remove almost any type of nut, head, or glands on shafts or cylinder tubes.
An option for the disassembly table power unit, the Pressure Boost System consists of an air-opreated pump with a safety relief valve integrated into the standard power unit to boost the system pressure to 6000 psi. A manifold block isolates the boost pressure from the main system.
These Economy Disassembly Tables are an affordable alternative to our standard Disassembly Table. The table is manufactured without the collector pan, and the slide rails are not predrilled. The pullout drain pan with roller conveyor and slide plates are not supplied but can be added as an option. The work station accommodates all of our existing tooling and fixtures.
