Stainless Steel CAUSTIC TANK
Hot caustic tanks are used to strip paint and clean components down to bear metal preparing the components for repainting.
Our standard caustic tank is constructed of 318 stainless steel mounted into a 2” x 4” rectangular tube frame. The unit is approximately 3’-6” wide X 3’-6” high X 12’-0” long. The main caustic tank holds 500 gallons of caustic solution. Using our approach, the system can be scaled to your specifications.

The Machinery Service & Design vacuum system is used to assist the reassembly of hydraulic cylinders.
This system takes advantage of atmospheric pressure to simplify the process of entering seals into the bore chamfer and retracting the shaft.
Our two-stage pump delivers high volume and produces vacuum up to 30” of mercury.

The Machinery Service & Design Portable Hand Hone is a simple and efficient way to hone a small number of cylinders or to lightly hone the interior of cylinder tubes.
The Hand Hone table rolls up to the end of the Disassembly Table or work station and provides a way to flush the cylinder barrel out with honing fluid during honing. Hand honing generates a large amount of waste, including stone material and barrel material in addition to heat, all of which the honing oil will remove.
The pneumatically powered hone oil pump sends the oil through a spin-on filter and into the cylinder, and as the oil flushes out of the cylinder barrel it will go through two more filtering layers to help keep the oil free of contamination.

Pneumatic Hand Hone Drive

This unique drive system offers many advantages over the traditional electric drill powered honing system.
WEIGHT: The air drill motor weight is 7 pounds. This is much lighter than a 3/4” Milwaukee drill with a weight of 19 pounds.
POWER: The Air drill generates 1-1/2 HP in a much smaller package.
SPEED: The air drill has variable speed that can be adjusted with a simple flow control valve. The electric drill used in this application has a fixed speed. The speed should be adjusted to the diameter of the cylinder being honed for optimum material removal and finish.
TORQUE: The air drill torque can be adjusted with a pressure regulator. The electric drill has only one high (ARM BREAKING) torque output.
OVER HEATING: The air drill is self cooled by the air supply. An electric drill will over-heat with heavy use.
STONE TENSIONING SYSTEM: This feature allows the operator to adjust stone pressure while honing. With an electric drill the operator must stop before hand tightening the hand wheel. The stone tension therefore cycles from being too tight to being too loose. This leads to uneven stone ware and poor material removal.

The MSD air over oil power unit is an economical power source for the MSD “Nut Buster”®.
This air over oil power unit is an alternative to electric powered hydraulic system. The assembly is mounted into a frame work that can be fitted with casters for ease of movement and connects directly to our “Nut Buster”®.
